When People Grunt about Climate Change

Thankfully, we Indians are gullible.

Any BPO employee might advocate you on the gullibility of westerners when it comes to credit card purchase.

However, it is strikingly incoherent, when it comes to acceptance on Climate change.

It is a sad fact, that religious ideology of doomsday have tainted the very science behind climate change. People are thinking about climate change on same lines and most, for good reasons, are denying the fact that climate change is for real.

The fact, that Hollywood actors like Leonardo Decaprio and Arnold Schwarzenegger
and other public figures require to yell their voices on top for advocating on climate change is alarming and points to the fact, that out there in the west, urbanites who don’t tilt their lands care the least F*** about climate change.

The last post by Arnold says it all –

A wake up call by Leonardo too purports it.

Further on, Arnold went up to clear his mind on –

As long as people agree that climate is changing and climate change is threat, people become liable to search for the viable, and I think that is what pisses them off.

Further, the developed Homo Homo Sapiens have long given up on agriculture and have turned up their fat A***s to the canned / processed foods.

How to wake them up? who never have to go out to the drying lake to fetch water for bathing, least their showers shower up to their expectations.

Sadly, climate change would be pinching the developing nations first than the developed ones, and that complicates the matter for a global participation.

On the other hand, climate change isn’t a problem which could be solved by the nation’s leaders alone. It is every citizen of their nation that needs to be convinced upon acting (mitigation) for climate change.

Nature wont give us another chance, if we fail to protect her. And the debt, too is large. Species lost to climate change shall not be recovered even if the climate stables back to normal. It is an irreversible process, just as that of a chaotic pendulum. No two swings are the same, despite dropping the pendulum arm from the same height each time.

India is awakening to climate change. A program named Science Express Climate Action Special is underway to meet and propose climate actions across pan-India through a 16 coach AC mobile exhibition train powered by solar panel and diesel.

So far, the program has crossed 0.9 million footfalls, that includes school children by a large percentage pledging for climate actions.

Unless every stakeholder (every living homo homo sapiens) agrees about climate change and works for climate action, the world would be slowly etching towards the doomsday.

Tell me a thing –

What is worst? losing humans or losing nature?

If you have answered it after little deliberation, you have found the answer to doomsday question as well.

So lets gear up by first acknowledging and accepting that climate change is happening within our social groups to begin with.

Thank you for your time 🙂

Keep riding!

The original purpose of this blog was promoting city cycling and popularizing urban green belt corridors, which it did for it's first one and a half year, since the year of it's launch - 2014. Now-a-days, that is, since the last two years, I haven't been city commuting on my bike, thanks to my city earning the world's most air polluted region title. And thanks to the redesigning of City roads, those are forked under construction since last six months, loosing a green cover of a whooping 9,100+ trees and the rising construction dust hazards. And lastly thanks to El nino of 2015 and El nina of 2016. I don't know if I have missed any other reason. The theme of the blog, hence, changed, into a bit of my own ramblings covering topics, such as - my travel blogging, Social issues in India, Climate change & biodiversity conservation.
